At the Oxxynova chemical site in Steyerberg, consortium plans under the EnZaH2 project involve deploying CAPHENIA’s synthetic fuel technology on-site to produce e-fuels and green methanol using locally available biogas, renewable electricity, green hydrogen, and CO₂. The concept is to establish the world’s first commercial reactor based on CAPHENIA’s technology at Oxxynova’s industrial premises, enabling sustainable fuel production that could be used for onsite applications (such as rail transport) and broader decarbonization objectives across Germany’s energy and mobility sectors.
