Equilibrion
Eq.flight
quilibrion is developing the Eq.flight project, a demonstration scale power to liquids sustainable aviation fuel production facility that will use nuclear generated electricity and heat to produce low carbon synthetic jet fuel. Supported by funding from the UK Department for Transport Advanced Fuels Fund, the project is the first in the UK specifically designed to link nuclear energy inputs with SAF production as a pathway for aviation decarbonization. The project will deliver a Pre FEED engineering study for an integrated demonstration system that combines electricity and low grade heat to improve process efficiency and reduce lifecycle emissions, targeting greater than 90 percent greenhouse gas emissions reduction compared to conventional jet fuel. Eq.flight is positioned as a scalable platform for future commercial deployment, supporting domestic SAF supply, energy security, and industrial development in the UK.
