Gaznat
GreenGas
GreenGas is Gaznat’s pioneering Power-to-Gas project, centered on an industrial-scale “Innovation Lab” in Aigle (VD), Switzerland, that integrates two cutting-edge technologies developed with EPFL: a high-efficiency methanation reactor and nanoporous graphene membranes for CO₂ capture. The plant uses surplus solar electricity (from PV modules on site) to produce green hydrogen via electrolysis, then combines that with captured CO₂ to create CO₂-neutral synthetic methane (syngas) through the Sabatier reaction, reaching very high conversion rates (up to 99%).
