Iverson
Iverson eFuels is established to develop large scale production of renewable ammonia in Sauda, Norway. The Iverson eFuels AS’ ammonia plant will be powered by renewable electricity from renewable hydropower sources to produce approximately 200,000 tons of renewable ammonia annually. This is considered substantial volumes, but a fraction of the expected future market demand. The plant production in the first phase is around 600 tonnes per day, but Iverson will look to expand production capacity even further in the later project phases. (1) Construction and operation of an appx. 240 MW electrolysis unit to produce green hydrogen, combined with the Haber-Bosch process for large-scale ammonia fuel production (2) Industrial site in Sauda, close to Statnett’s high-voltage facility (3) Approximately 15-20 hectares in size (equivalent to 20-26 football fields) (4) Secure transport to the port via a concealed pipeline (5) Storage and loading of ammonia at the port (6) The project has received support from Agenda Vest (NOK 1.8 million) and the UllaFørre Fund (NOK 10 million).
