Pernambuco MeOH
European Energy and Petrobras are developing Brazil’s first industrial-scale e-methanol facility at the Suape Industrial and Port Complex in Pernambuco. The project will produce renewable methanol using green hydrogen from wind and solar power combined with captured CO₂, targeting marine fuel and industrial markets. The facility represents an investment of approximately R$2 billion and is positioned to establish a large-scale green fuels production hub in Northeast Brazil.
