P2X-Europe
Project Bregoan
The Breogan Project is an industrial-scale Power-to-Liquid (PtL) eFuels facility planned for the Curtis-Teixeiro industrial area in Galicia, Spain, developed by P2X-Europe and Greenalia to produce carbon-neutral synthetic hydrocarbons for sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF), eDiesel, and high-value chemical products. It combines green hydrogen with ~70,000 t/year of biogenic CO₂ captured from Greenalia’s biomass plant to yield around 20,000 t/year of synthetic crude for refining into low-carbon fuels and waxes. In January 2024, the regional government of Xunta de Galicia declared Breogan a Priority Business Initiative (PBI), reflecting its alignment with local economic and sustainability goals and enabling an accelerated permitting process, with commercial start-up targeted for 2027. The project represents a major industrial investment (>€200 million), is expected to boost regional decarbonization and energy autonomy, and positions Galicia as a leader in PtL eFuels production in Europe
