ReSTart

Verso Energy’s ReSTart project in Tartas (Landes, France) aims to produce sustainable aviation fuel (e-SAF) by combining renewable hydrogen from electrolysis with biogenic CO₂ to create e-methanol, later converted to e-kerosene. Selected for funding under the EU Innovation Fund, the project will demonstrate large-scale, cost-competitive e-fuel production to support aviation decarbonization in line with the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation and the European Green Deal.
