Tampere
Nordic Ren-Gas Oy is planning a Power-to-Gas production plant in Tampere, Finland. The aim of the project is to build a production plant that produces renewable e-methane, hydrogen and district heat produced from waste heat. The plant will operate as part of the production chain of clean P2X gas fuels for heavy-duty road and maritime transport. The plant is located in the immediate vicinity of Tammervoima Oy's Tarastenjärvi power plant, which enables the delivery of carbon dioxide from the energy company and district heating integration. The project will be promoted in close cooperation with Tampereen Energia. The plant will be implemented in phases, and the construction of the first phase of the plant will take place in 2025–2027. In the second phase, the plant's production capacity will be doubled. The plant has been granted a legally valid environmental permit.
