Adani-Dioxycle Formic Acid Pilot

Pilot facility to produce formic acid (HCOOH) using captured CO₂ and renewable electricity via Dioxycle's electrically driven CO₂-to-chemicals technology, which uses electricity and CO₂/salt-stream feedstocks in place of fossil-fuel-based multi-step processes. Announced as India's first formic acid production facility powered entirely by renewable electricity and captured CO₂. Structured as a long-term partnership: pilot first, then phased scale-up to commercial manufacturing following successful validation. Beyond formic acid, the partners have stated intent to explore a broader portfolio of low-carbon chemicals across energy, materials, packaging, and manufacturing end-markets. Adani provides clean-energy capabilities, infrastructure platform, and project execution; Dioxycle provides the CO₂ electrolysis technology, having validated at industrial module scale and now moving to commercial deployment.
