Air Liquide Aster Blue Hydrogen Project
On November 24, 2025, Air Liquide and Aster Chemicals & Energy Pte. Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore the deployment of an autothermal reformer (ATR) unit with integrated carbon-capture in Singapore. The collaboration leverages Air Liquide’s technology and Aster’s petrochemical infrastructure to assess the technical and commercial viability of producing low-carbon hydrogen — supporting Singapore’s national strategy to decarbonize the energy and chemicals sectors and targeting emissions reductions in “hard-to-abate” industries. The ATR process is noted for high energy-efficiency and capturing up to 99 % of carbon emissions
