AirCapture Fukushima DAC Facility

Aircapture, in collaboration with Japanese concrete manufacturer AIZAWA, is launching Japan’s first commercial-scale direct air capture (DAC) system at AIZAWA’s RDM Center in Fukushima Prefecture. The captured CO₂ will be injected into the concrete plant’s wastewater, converting it into calcium carbonate that feeds directly into new concrete production. The installation is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
