ARCaDe Carbon Capture Project
The ARCaDe project in Belgium will install a CO₂ capture system on a refinery’s Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) unit, using the first commercial-scale application of Synthesised Air Combustion combined with CO-boilers and cryogenic capture. Fully integrated with local CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure, the project targets one of the most hard-to-abate sectors and is designed to demonstrate a scalable CCS solution for refineries, strengthening the wider carbon capture value chain.
