Augusta Storage Project

Limenet’s Augusta plant in Sicily is its first industrial-scale facility for ocean-based carbon removal, currently capable of sequestering about 800 tonnes of CO₂ per year by converting CO₂ (sourced from biogenic sources) and seawater into dissolved calcium bicarbonate, which is then returned to the ocean at stable pH.
