BEA Alizay Biomass Carbon Capture Project

The project will install a CO₂ capture unit at BEA Alizay’s 50 MW biomass boiler, which burns bark, recycled wood, and wood residues to produce steam and power. The facility is expected to capture around 350,000 tonnes of biogenic CO₂ per year from combustion. This captured CO₂ will then be supplied to downstream utilization projects, including the production of e-SAF in Petit-Couronne, making the capture system at Alizay the core of the overall decarbonization effort.
