Carbon Upcycling
Carbon Upcycling Commercial Demonstration Facility
Since 2021, Carbon Upcycling has operated thecommercial demonstration facility at the Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre. The site, attached to a natural gas plant, captures CO2 directly from the flue stack to enhance ash we reclaim from a retired coal plant. Our facility has produced more than 3,000 tonnes of low-carbon cementitious material for homes, paths, and roads across Alberta’s built environment.
