Carmeuse Kentucky Lime Plant

Carmeuse was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to complete the Preliminary Front End Engineering and Design (pre-FEED) study of a commercial scale, advanced carbon capture system that separates CO2 from the lime manufacturing process at our existing operation in Butler, Kentucky. The design is projected to capture over 400,000 metric tonnes per year of CO2 from the process stream and inject it safely underground on site for long term sequestration
