CarpeCarbon Michelin DAC Project

CarpeCarbon will deploy its first industrial-scale direct air capture plant at Michelin Italiana's tyre production site in Cuneo, Italy — Western Europe's largest Michelin plant. Nominal capacity 300 tonnes of CO2 per year, using low-temperature waste heat from the production processes and solar thermal collectors. Captured CO2 is partly utilised in Michelin Italiana's production processes, with surplus processed for storage. Follows a completed pilot in Turin; part of CarpeCarbon's plan to reach 5,000 t/yr in 2028-2029 and 50,000 t/yr from 2030.
