CEMEX Alicante Carbon Utilization Project
CEMEX has partnered with ETFuels to convert up to 450,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually from its Alicante cement plant in Spain into green methanol (e-methanol) using green hydrogen. The project, aimed at supporting European energy security and decarbonizing cement production, will supply low-carbon fuels primarily for the shipping sector.
