CEMEX Rudersdorf CCS

CEMEX’s “CO2LLECT” is a large scale carbon capture, use and storage project at its Rüdersdorf cement plant in eastern Germany. It aims to capture about 1.3 million tonnes of CO₂ per year using Linde’s HISORP® adsorptive cryogenic technology by 2030. Funded in part by a €157 million grant from the EU’s Innovation Fund, captured CO₂ will be purified, liquefied, then transported initially by rail to a CO₂ hub and eventually stored in offshore geological formations in the North Sea.
