Cypress Carbon Capture Project
The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) awarded $6.5 million to Taft Carbon Capture, LLC, for a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study at the Taft Cogeneration Facility in Hahnville, Louisiana. This natural gas-fired combined cycle plant aims to integrate a post-combustion carbon capture system capable of capturing up to 2.6 million metric tons of CO? annually, with a minimum capture efficiency of 90%.
