Devon Jackfish Pilot Carbon Capture Project
Funded in 2010, this FEED study evaluated an advanced amine carbon capture unit using HTC’s RS2 solvent and TKO process configuration to improve scalability, efficiency, and economics. The design targeted CO₂ capture from three OTSGs at Devon Energy’s SAGD oil sands site, with innovations that reduced energy demand for solvent regeneration and lowered capture costs through heat recovery, optimized process flow, and modular, standardized design.
