Eagle 3

Eagle 3 is Newlight’s third-generation biopolymer process that converts atmospheric greenhouse gases (CO₂/CH₄) into PHB (polyhydroxybutyrate), a biodegradable polymer branded as AirCarbon®. The process uses engineered microbes fed by captured carbon sources and renewable energy to synthesize PHB. Their system is designed for high productivity, lower cost, and integration with existing plastic manufacturing lines.
