ECO2FLY Villaluenga Cement CO2 Capture

Post-combustion carbon capture unit to be installed at Holcim España's cement plant in Villaluenga de la Sagra, Toledo, targeting more than 700,000 tonnes of CO₂ captured per year from cement production. Portion of captured CO₂ feeds the co-located IGNIS P2X eSAF synthesis unit; the remainder is permanently stored in geological formations. Over the first 10 years of operation, ECO2FLY is projected to avoid emissions of more than 6.5 million tonnes of CO₂. Announced April 7, 2025; being submitted to the EU Innovation Fund.
