ESE Pursiala Carbon Capture Project

Etelä-Savon Energia (ESE) and Nordic Ren-Gas are developing a 50 MW Power-to-Gas plant at ESE’s Pursiala site in Mikkeli, Finland. The facility will capture CO₂ from the existing power plant’s flue gases and combine it with green hydrogen to produce around 12,000 tons of synthetic methane per year, while supplying carbon-free district heat.
