Fortum Nyborg Carbon Capture Project

Fortum Recycling & Waste’s Nyborg plant in Denmark is piloting carbon capture with SLB Capturi’s amine technology on its hazardous-waste kilns, while Aker Carbon Capture is running a study targeting 170,000 tonnes of CO₂ capture per year. The initiative supports Fortum’s goal of CO₂ neutrality by 2030 and could lead to a full-scale capture facility with options for CO₂ transport, storage, or reuse.
