Grain Carbon Capture

Uniper’s Grain Carbon Capture project is a proposal to retrofit post‐combustion carbon capture technology onto up to three units of its existing 1,326 MW combined‐cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant on the Isle of Grain in southeast England. The project aims to capture over 2 million tonnes of CO₂ per year, with technology and design studies underway via contracts awarded to Aker Carbon Capture and Technip Energies, including designs for capture, conditioning, liquefaction, temporary storage, and transport for permanent offshore storage
