Habshan-Bab Gas Plant

ADNOC has awarded a $615 million EPC contract to develop one of the Middle East and North Africa’s largest integrated carbon capture projects at the Habshan gas processing complex. The project will install large-scale CO₂ capture facilities, a dedicated pipeline system, and an injection well network to permanently store about 1.5 million tonnes of CO₂ per year — helping ADNOC expand its total capture capacity to more than 2.3 million tonnes annually. To support the high-pressure injection system, Flowserve will provide dry gas seals and seal systems for CO₂ compressors used in supercritical injection service. This equipment delivery is a key part of enabling long-term, reliable sequestration operations and advancing ADNOC’s broader goal to decarbonize natural-gas production while scaling industrial CCS in the UAE.
