Middle River Power
High Desert Power Carbon Capture Project
California Resources Corporation’s carbon management subsidiary Carbon TerraVault and Middle River Power are collaborating under a nonbinding memorandum of understanding to evaluate a carbon capture and sequestration project at the High Desert Power Plant, an approximately 850 megawatt natural gas fired facility in Victorville California. The project would capture carbon dioxide emissions generated at the plant and transport the CO₂ for permanent geological storage using Carbon TerraVault’s transportation network and permitted sequestration assets.
