IDEX Kogeban Biomass Carbon Capture Project

Nuada CO2 and Idex Group announced a strategic partnership to deploy a 10,000 tpa biogenic CO₂ capture unit at the Kogeban biomass cogeneration plant, operated by Idex in Nesle in the Somme department, Hauts-de-France region, France. The unit will be the first industrial-scale deployment of Nuada's Adspire® technology, a MOF-based vacuum pressure swing adsorption process that is fully electrified, solvent-free, and designed to bolt onto existing energy plants without disrupting heat and electricity output. Captured CO₂ will be split between two outlets: one stream purified and liquefied to food-grade specification for local sale to regional food and beverage manufacturers as a substitute for fossil-derived CO₂, and a second stream directed to deep geological storage to generate permanent negative-emissions (BECCS) credits.
