NET Power
La Porte Demonstration Facility
The Net Power La Porte Test Facility is a pilot demonstration plant for Allam-Cycle power generation technology, an advanced natural gas power system that inherently captures nearly 100 percent of its CO₂ emissions as part of the thermodynamic cycle. Located in La Porte, Texas, the facility has been operating to validate the Allam Cycle’s ability to produce electricity with zero direct CO₂ emissions while generating a high-pressure stream of captured CO₂ that can be sequestered or utilised for industrial applications. The pilot integrates combustor design, supercritical CO₂ turbines, and CO₂ capture hardware in a full-scale demonstration, enabling real-world performance data, reliability assessment, and de-risking of the technology ahead of commercial deployments. The La Porte test facility has been key to proving the viability of integrating carbon capture into power generation without efficiency penalties, positioning the Allam Cycle as a scalable, low-carbon solution for future clean-power projects.
