Lhoist France Ouest Carbon Capture Project

The GOCO₂ (Grand Ouest CO₂) project aims to capture around 2.6 million tonnes of CO₂ per year by 2030 from industrial sites in western France, with plans to increase to 4 million tonnes annually by 2050—representing over 75% of the region's industrial emissions. Captured CO₂ will be transported by pipeline to the Montoir-de-Bretagne terminal, liquefied, and exported by ship for permanent geological storage. Lhoist is participating to decarbonize its lime production facility in Neau.
