LIFE CO2IntBio

In Garray, Soria (Spain), the LIFE CO2IntBio project led by Fundación Patrimonio Natural de Castilla y León with Bioeléctrica de Garray and Carburos Metálicos captures CO₂ from a biomass power plant’s flue gas, cleans it to food-grade quality, and supplies it locally as renewable CO₂. The project reduces emissions, supports sustainable forestry, and fosters circular value chains. The captured CO₂ will also supply Elyse Energy’s eM Numancia project, which will produce up to 50,000 tonnes per year of e-methanol using renewable hydrogen and biogenic CO₂ for maritime transport and chemical industry applications.
