Longford Gas Plant Carbon Capture

BOC (a Linde company) has launched a new CO₂ processing facility in Longford, Victoria, which started production in early 2025 and can generate over 60,000 tonnes of beverage-grade liquid CO₂ annually, making it the largest merchant CO₂ plant in the South Pacific. Under a long-term supply deal, BOC receives captured CO₂ from Esso/Woodside’s Longford Gas Conditioning Plant (part of the Gippsland Basin JV) to purify and supply it to industries like food processing, beverage, medical, hospitality, and manufacturing
