Maljamar Gas Plant Carbon Capture

Frontier Field Services, LLC operates the Maljamar Gas Plant (MGP) in Lea County, New Mexico, about three miles south of the town of Maljamar. The facility includes two acid gas injection (AGI) wells completed in the Wolfcamp Formation on BLM-leased land. Maljamar AGI #1 (API #30-025-40420) is a vertical well drilled to ~10,183 feet, providing direct access to the Wolfcamp injection zone. Maljamar AGI #2 (API #30-025-42628) is a deviated well, also targeting the Wolfcamp Formation, located nearby in the same township and section. Frontier is authorized to inject treated acid gas (TAG) — a mixture of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) — into the Wolfcamp Formation for disposal.
