Net Power California Carbon Capture

Net Power has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with California Resources Corporation’s carbon management arm, Carbon TerraVault, to assess the feasibility of deploying up to 1 GW of modular, ultra-low-emission power plants in Northern California. These compact plants—each less than 20 acres in size and capable of generating up to 250 MW—would be strategically located near Carbon TerraVault’s underground CO₂ storage vaults, enabling the permanent sequestration of up to 3.6 million metric tons of CO₂ annually.
