Nordbex 1

Aker Solutions and Nordbex signed an MoU to develop Nordbex 1, Sweden’s first replicable BIOCCUS facility. Scheduled for operation in 2029 in the SE4 region, it will convert forestry waste into biofuel, supplying local heat and power while capturing CO₂. Aker Solutions will provide project management and EPCm services, with Nordbex leading development. The agreement builds on earlier 2023 engineering work by Aker’s consultancy arm, Entr, and marks the start of broader collaboration.
