Nuclear Direct Air Capture with Carbon Storage (NuDACCS)
The NuDACCS project was conducted to provide a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study for integrating a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 DAC system at Southern Company’s Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant. The DAC system was designed to capture a minimum 5,000 net tonnes of CO2 per year from ambient air and operate using waste heat from the host nuclear plant.
