Onnu BioCarbon Technology Asia
The Onnu BioCarbon Technology Asia project in Malaysia uses two pyrolysis units to turn palm-plantation and agricultural residues (like palm trunks, bamboo, and empty fruit bunches) into biochar, renewable heat and power, and carbon removals. The facility is expected to produce around 1,900–2,500 tonnes of biochar annually, sequestering approximately 3,000–4,000 tCO₂e per year, while generating 2.8 MW of renewable heat to power plantation operations.
