Ostersund CCS

NorthStarH2 eFuel project aims to provide fossil-free eFuel for the aviation, shipping and chemical industries. The facility will be established next to Jämtkraft's combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Lugnvik, in the municipality of Ostersund. This location offers abundant access to renewable electricity, biogenic CO2, and excellent infrastructure, including road and rail connections which will allow the fuel to be transported to the rest of Sweden and Europe. Once operational, it will produce 100,000 tons of eMethanol annually.
