Pascagoula Refinery Carbon Capture Project
Chevron’s Pascagoula Carbon Capture and Storage Project in Mississippi is designed to capture CO₂ emissions from the Pascagoula refinery and methanol plant and permanently store them in deep geological formations. Captured CO₂ will be conditioned, compressed, and routed via pipeline to Class VI-permitted underground storage sites for long-term containment. Chevron advanced the regulatory phase by submitting a Class VI injection permit application in December 2025.
