Pine Hill Mill CCS

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded the Timberlands Sequestration (TS) Project in Alabama with $29.4 million in funding to support site characterization activities at the biomass carbon removal and storage project for Pine Hill mill. The grant award will help TS advance and de-risk project development to capture approximately 2 million metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the mill�s flue gas, transport it through a new pipeline, and inject it deep into saline reservoirs at the proposed storage site.
