Price Carbo-FORCE CF-1000 Biochar Facility

The CO2 Sync Price Utah Biochar & Clean Energy Plant is a pyrolysis-based biochar production facility with integrated renewable energy generation, launched by CO2 Sync in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 13-14, 2026. The plant processes wood waste (primarily beetle-killed standing dead trees from forest service lands, plus timber offcuts from CO2 Sync's timber framing business) through pyrolysis to produce carbon-dense biochar that is sold to intermediaries for use in agricultural fertilizer and regenerative farming applications, with planned future applications in water filtration and activated carbon production. Waste heat from the pyrolysis process is converted to renewable electricity exported to the grid, supplying approximately 1,000 local households (implying roughly 1-2 MW of continuous generation), with plans to also export heat to a district heating network.
