Project YaREN
The Project Yaren carbon capture project is part of the Ingleside Clean Ammonia Partners (ICAP) blue ammonia facility being developed in Ingleside, Texas, near the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. The project integrates carbon capture systems with natural gas-based hydrogen production to reduce CO₂ emissions associated with ammonia manufacturing. The facility is designed to include two ammonia production trains with associated CO₂ capture, compression, and handling infrastructure tied to the hydrogen reforming units. Captured CO₂ will be conditioned for transport and permanent geological storage through regional CCS infrastructure serving the Texas Gulf Coast. Project Yaren has advanced through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) air permitting process, positioning the site as a large-scale CCS-enabled ammonia export hub.
