Brimstone’s “Rock Refinery” project in Oklahoma will be the first new U.S. alumina plant in over 50 years, producing smelter-grade alumina and low-carbon cement from silicate rock. Partnering with Dolese Bros. for quarry feedstock, the $378 million project (with $189 million in DOE support under appeal) plans to pilot in 2025, reach full capacity by decade’s end, and create hundreds of local jobs.
