Onyx Power
Rotterdam Blue Hydrogen
Onyx Power is planning to build a large blue hydrogen production plant at its site in the Port of Rotterdam that will use a 1,200 MW autothermal reformer (ATR) to produce about 300 kilotons of low-carbon hydrogen per year, capture and store the associated CO₂ to cut emissions (potentially ~2.5 million t/year), and help decarbonize heavy industry in the Netherlands and Germany; the project, located next to its existing Maasvlakte facility, is undergoing an environmental impact assessment and aims for commissioning by 2028.
