Shenhua Ningxia CTL Project

The Ningxia 3 million tons/year CCUS demonstration project represents the world's first green carbon reduction cooperation between the modern coal chemical industry and a large oil and gas field. Phase I of the project uses high-purity carbon dioxide discharged from Ningxia Coal's coal-to-liquids (CTL) company and olefins company as the primary carbon source, with a focus on building a 500,000 tons/year carbon dioxide capture and liquefaction facility. This includes a 400,000 tons/year carbon dioxide oil recovery and sequestration project and a 100,000 tons/year carbon dioxide underground coal mine utilization project.
