Skytree Lingezegen Energy DAC Project

Skytree and Lingezegen Energy, a regional Dutch energy company serving the horticultural sector, announced on June 3, 2026 the first commercial deployment of Skytree's Stratus DAC system at Lingezegen Energy in the Netherlands. The project is planned to capture 7,200 tonnes of atmospheric CO₂ per year and supply it as fossil-free CO₂ to a cluster of 10 greenhouses spanning 80 hectares, integrated with Lingezegen's renewable infrastructure including a floating solar park and thermal storage. Unlike a sequestration project, this is a utilization use case: the captured CO₂ replaces fossil-derived industrial CO₂ that Dutch growers have traditionally used for crop enrichment and that has become increasingly unavailable, volatile, and expensive, supporting both yield and decarbonization goals.
