Sundsvall Energi P2X

In cooperation with the energy company Sundsvall Energi, Liquid Wind is developing an eFuel facility that will be located next to the combined heat and power plant Korstaverket in Sundsvall. Biogenic carbon dioxide will be captured from Korstaverket and combined with green hydrogen, produced from renewable electricity and water to generate green electrofuel. The planned eFuel production in Sundsvall is estimated to contribute to a 283,000 tons reduction of CO₂ emissions annually, primarily by replacing marine fossil fuels (approximately 199,000 tons of CO₂) and through permanent storage of fossil carbon dioxide (approximately 84,000 tons of CO₂). The Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and CCS permit is handled through a parallel project, run by Sundsvall Energi: project Phoenix.
