Terrell Gas Processing

The CCS project at the Terrell natural gas processing plant has been in operation the longest. Here, CO2 capture technology has been used since 1972 because the natural gas extracted has a CO2 content of 18 – 53 percent and would not be marketable without this additional processing step. The captured CO2 is piped through several hundred kilometers of CO2 pipelines to mature oil fields for use in EOR.
