Tønder Biogas P2X

At the Kassø PtX facility in Denmark, Tønder Biogas supplies biogenic CO₂ (a by-product of its biogas production from agricultural residues) to feed into the electro-methanol (“e-methanol”) process. The bio-CO₂ is part of a closed carbon cycle, helping make the e-methanol carbon-neutral when combined with renewable electricity. The first delivery of this biogenic carbon dioxide from Tønder to Kassø occurred in mid-March, supporting the production of industry-grade e-methanol that passes IMPCA standard specifications and has purity above 99.85 %.
